TECHNICAL SALES ENGINEER
The Technical Sales Engineer will work directly with our team to make sure that our clients are getting the right solution for the price. The role of technical sales engineer essentially involves translating and explaining complex technical information to customers and clients, focusing on revealing how a product or piece of equipment can solve specific problems. The technical sales engineer is the person who stays abreast of the latest developments and breakthroughs, and who can pass this knowledge to our customers.
Meeting with various internal teams to define and scope out new projects.
Meeting with many clients to gather and then map out their solutions requirements.
Develop quotes and proposals.
Maintain Training certifications with many of the hardware and software vendors..
3+ years minimum experience selling, designing, and supporting Channel or VAR related Managed Services, public cloud services, and infrastructure.
3+ years minimum experience working within a Professional Services team
3+ year minimum deployment, design, and/or troubleshooting many of the following types of solutions:
- Cloud Solutions
- Networking Solutions
- Windows Server OS (AD, DNS, DHCP, RDS, etc.)
- Storage Solutions
Engage with partner’s and clients to define needs and develop solutions/proposals
Aptitude to translate technical features into tangible customer business benefits
Preparation and delivery of technical quotes and proposals to CIO/CTO level for both enterprises and SMB
Develop technical solutions to customer business issues, including and identifying new technologies.
Focus on helping to meet sales revenue targets by providing timely and on-going customer technical information.
Contribute to building ‘Best Practices’ among peers in sales and systems engineering.
